Getting my 92 to throw a code ( i can not take it somewhere to get it read)
i hear you use a pin, but how? my check engine light is on but i need it to start flashing so i can see whats wrong. How do i do this? the car is not in shape to be driven to an autozone to get it read
There is a plug by the passenger side footwell. You just jumper it with a paperclip. Then turn the key to on and the light will flash if there are any codes stored. Just count the flashes.
You don't have to take the glove box off. It will either be tucked under the glove box, or behind the kick panel to the right (just in front of where the door speaker is).
