Default After replacing front rotors, pedal feels a little spongy.. Why?

The car has 12k miles and the reason I need to change the OEM rotors is because they are warped from couple track events. I swapped them out with AutoZone's (the correct part number, I checked) and after the first test drive, the pedal feel is not as keen as before. Seems like the grab is less sensitive, but why? Will the pedal feel better after I put some miles on it? Both pads and fluids are still original..

Yes... you have to get a good mating surface between the pad and r0t0r...

bleed your baakes anyway... it can't hurt.

go bed your pads in
do about 6 30-40 mph stops and 4 40-60 mph stops (both sets down to 5 mph) then drive slowly and let your brakes cool and then park your car for a few hours.
after that you'll be good to go

ATE Super Bl00....

FYI... my pedal is nice a firm now.... ~2 weeks after the rotor install.

Both pads and fluids are still original..
You used your stock pads at a track and you still have them on? What kind of shape are they in? After one track day mine were white and crumbling to the touch.

I did two or three full track events on mine. They held up just fine.

Stock pads are poo at the track

If you warped your rotors - your stock pads might be glazed - did you rough them up before putting them back on??

Careful that you bed the pads properly - and always give lots of time for cool down. Also never wash your car if the brakes are still hot - that will warp them too.
