on my setup right now i neglected to get a camber kit and my tires are showing it...but i love my ride height. is it possible to tuck your wheels with correct camber? it seems that if the camber was straightened out like its supposed to be that the wheels would hit your fenders instead of going under them like they do with bad camber...do all these slammed cars just go through tires like crazy?...or am i just overthinking it all too much?

A little bit of camber is good due that when you go into corners and your body rolls slightly it will roll onto the contact patch of the tire. If you got alot of camber be prepared to buy tires. And what he said about the toe is also true.
If rubbing is going to be a concern, you can roll the fenders and that should help a little. But in most cases where you are tucking your tires, the tires (and handling) will benefit more from simply raising the car up a bit.

hmm...so basically if i want to tuck my wheels, im gonna have tire wear on the inside.....i know toe is more important but camber makes you go through tires...so therefore, camber is important too. (to me atleast)...thanks for the input guys, anyone else?

Camber in itself won't kill your tires, especially if you rotate them regularly. Improper toe + camber = certain death. Get a good alignment and rotate your tires and you should be fine.

Agreed, toe kills tires, not camber.
My weekend car has run -4.75* rear camber since I bought it. I killed the first set of tires in 6 months. Did an alignment and fixed the insane rear toe it was suffering from (old sagging spring gave an additional degree of camber, but a ton of toe out) by removing the toe shims and left the camber. I've had the current set of tires for 8 years and 14k miles now, and they do not show any signs of "camber wear". Tire tread gauge shows nearly even wear across the entire tire, with a little more wear on the outside shoulder (I'd love an explanation for this) and 75% of the tread left.
Once you driven a car with nearly 5 degrees of negative camber, and everyone in the world has asked you "Wow, how much did you have to lower the car to get the insane camber?" and you still don't see any unusual tire wear, you start to wonder how much "camber wear" is really toe wear.

no, i got an alignment. they adjusted the toe but obviously couldnt touch the camber...so im trying to figure out where my inside tire wear is coming from if everyone says camber doesnt kill tires.

Camber does wear tires, just not as bad as toe does. If he's "slammed" ( I hate that word) he might have as much as 3+* of camber...not good for tires.
If you're lowered past 2" you need a camber kit, specially if all you do is DD.

What did you have them set rear toe at when they aligned it?
