The problem with those springs isnt that they are shitty, its that the spring rates are not set for car specific applications, thats why you bounce all over the road, Springs that have a low Spring Rate are soft, while springs that have a high Spring Rate are stiffer. For example: a 10lb to 25lb progressive spring will need 10lb to compress it the first inch, then 13lb the next inch, and so on, until the end of the travel; it will take 25lb to compress it the last inch. The benefit of this is that the spring can be soft enough at the start of the travel to offer a soft ride yet be stiff enough at the end of the travel to performance well during hard braking and turning, those are tuned springs anf the ones you are buying are not

decisions is up to you. u can get them now, but most ppl on here will tell you to save your money nd get a well known brand. if u get them now and plan to keep the car then you'll end upgrading later = more money.

actually they probably are shitty also, the cheap ones tend to sag over time, which maked their already abysmal performance even worse

probly those green TEIN replicas. yeah- my teg's got the replicas on it and it feels like a speed boat on the highway bouncing up and down lol.... not the best suspension if you're on a bumpy road either... your bushings will end up cracking and your shocks are gonna start slamming the top of your strut tower and throw your car all over the road. (i bought my car with the replicas, soon to buy full skunk2 kit). oh and speed bumps are a bitch too.

I thought that was only the spring that they replacated. Hes talking about coilovers. But i have H & R Race springs on stock shocks and the ride is fine.

Is this what you want after 6 months? Just an example. Do some research.

And since you don't give us the name of the brand that you are looking at, and whether they are new or used, it is impossible for us to know whether they are good or bad. But, taking a guess for $100, then bad. For just a little more, you can buy a quality spring like Eibach, Nuespeed, or H&R, and save up for some Koni Shocks. If you want adjustability, Ground Controls. Search for more info.
