Default I want to build my motor! Who wants to suggest some possible setups?

Hey guys... been on the board for not all that long... but I'd love to build my B16A1 that's sitting in my wonderful and minty EF.

I'm looking to take it to the track, and beat on it, and park it back in the garage.

Not looking to spend a whole lot, and by that I mean - I will buy the qaulity parts and take a little longer to build it, rather than by the mid ranger stuff all at once.
I'm just looking for reliablitiy on the track...I know all the good brands... I've got a killer exhuast setup right now... and I know the basic I/H/E. But what about the internals? Just throw some ideas down here... dont be afraid to go too overboard either. And labour isn't an issue either -- I'm going to try most of this myself!

And maybe give me a basic idea of how much I'm going to spend! (US dollars).

Thanks, look forward to your responses!

i dont normally say this but search for some b16 bulds that worked and achieved your goals....

personally if you want a track banger just get a b18c1 bottom end and use your pr3 pistons with all oem(the best) bottom end and some head work with cams and valve train. BAM you got a banger.
just search for head componenets or start a poll whatever its all preference

if you are going to keep the b16 it depends on your goals. building the block is not going to net you much more power then keeping it stock and changing head gasket/valves to up the compression and a solid valvetrain and cam. Head porting is a plus and you should be good for 170whp which is more then enough to make that light ef a blast on the track.
