12.5 CR Timing, hondata
Well guys, ive been out fuel tuning my gsr lately and im getting 12.8-13.2 WOT..
now heres my ? to you..
I WAS running 28.75deg timing column 10, 8950 rpm..high cam..
ive heard thats too much from two people.. they said down in the low 20's is good..
this is on 93 pump gas..
base timing was 17.75deg,,
ive proceeded to remove timing, now high cam is 20.75 and low cam is 20.00
too less, needs more etc?
ive read high 20's are fine as well too..
im just looking for some input here, any help would be great. thanks!
Just to share what i have seen:-
1)B16A + PCT pistons + mill ported head + TODA C tune with 31.75 ign column 10 from 7500rpm to 9000rpm with 100 octane fuel
2)B16A + PCT pistons + std head + GSR cams with 32 ign column 10 at high revs on 95 octane fuel
3)B18C5 with TODA C with 30 ign at column 10 at high revs on 95 oct fuel

28-31 on the high cam. Most motors like the timing to taper off slightly above 8,000 rpm. The timing should ramp up on the low cam and be anywhere from 23-26 at VTEC switchover. The only way to know for sure what your motor likes is to get it on a dyno.

Wow, the values on Hondata must be VERY different than the values on Crome/Uberdata.
My max timing on the high cam is like, 23 degrees.
You still bringing the H2B car tonight, or did you get some tags for the GSR?

yea, but didnt john redo your timing? he is the one that told me to set the timing lower than what i had it, which is a respectable opinon..
and guys i am fully aware to tune ignition on a dyno, i just didnt want to run too much breaking it in doing fuel tuning, thanks..
