What do you mean? You bought different lips made for your car but you can't get any of them to fit?

Uhhh just a thought are you sure you are getting coupe lips and not hatchback ones? I know the eg lips are different from the coupe to the hatch.

As far as I know, the EK (read: usdm EJ) coupe and hatch lips are the same (since the bumpers are the same). He must be talking about fitment then, since cheap aftermarket lips are not going to cut it unless you got a whole lot of bubble gum to stick that bitch on there and seal the gaps.

The '96-'00 hatches are EKs by the way. Just the coupes are EJs!!!

Sorry, it was my wording... I was referring to the EK coupe = EJ, non-inclusive of the hatch. Good clarification though.

Incorrect. A 99 hatch for instance, is an EJ. Unless of course It was imported from Japan, then its an EK.

EK is NOT a USDM term. Unless you have a rhd imported car, you do NOT own an EK.

To the original poster....I'm still not understanding. You purchased 8 different lips for your car and could not get one of them to fit? I'm thinking user error unless it was for the incorrect year all 8 times.

check the classfieds for oem ctr/si lips....you can buy the ctr lip for $300 from most jdm shops and or buy a brand new oem si lip from honda...they run around $230-260 or so...you get to choose from all three of the si colors- red, blue, and black...

I've always wondered how much those lips are from the dealers. I guess 250 isnt too bad given its brand new and already painted. Let alone OEM and probably comes with the correct hardware.

Thanks for that info!

Exactly, EK refers specifically to a CTR.

Just like the 99-00 Si is an EM1. The non-Si's are not EM1's. It has to to with the motor AND the chassis.
