totaled my teg today
Dude a gsr for 2600? that seams like a really good price. I mean that's as much as u would pay for a gsr engine, maybe a bit less. So even if there was a few problems with it u could use the extra money to fix it. yeah, just take it to a mechanic first though and have it checked out to make sure nothing major is wrong with a car. ALWAYS get a car checked out first b4 buying it. My friend made a mistake of buying a car and not getting it checked out, I told him to get it checked out after he bought it, and finally did. The mechanic told him it had been in some kind of front end collision, although it was hard to tell, but the frame was a bit bent up, he said that if he were to get into another collision with that car that the frame would crunch up and pretty much provide no support so the car would smash right through the engine bay and the cabin of the car. So make sure u get it checked out first.

Yeah but not with 170,000 miles on it.
To the OP, its a good price as long as there isnt too much body damage and no rust. See what the mechanic says.

if it's in excellent shape then its worth double that price.
if the car is in ok condition and doesn't need anything major, i'd say that's a great price.

k went and looked and drove it today the body is perfect and everything the only thing wrong with it is when vtec engages or around 5k rpms it boggs and the tach goes crazy but i know that can be fixed so im buying it tomorrow just need to know what to fix
i paid $2600 for my 1994 ls with 139k and clean title.
some parts of the interior were (and still are) a bit rough and one fender has a dent.
i would say the price is good if the title and car are clean.

do a complete tune up:
wires, plugs, cap, rotor, oil change, fuel filter, possibly timing belt & water pump, reset the ECU, well actually the ecu will reset if u change the cap and rotor cuz u have to disconnect the battery, just make sure u no the code for the radio.
this will insure that you will have a well running machine even if the original owner neglected to do so. it costs a lil bit of money and time but think about it...
peace of mind>second guessing a problem
plus u got the car for a ****** steal, treat her with care and post some ****** pics... haha good luck bro

Check for serious leaks. but most important, check compression or have a mechanic do it. if compression is good and even, than you are one step closer to owning it. make sure clutch doesn't slip and cv boots are intact.

Whoever says that's too much is smoking something bad.
My car has 240,000 miles on it and I would ask at least $3500 if I were to sell it today (and I bet I could get that too).
