Default Camber kit install problem`

sup guys, i have a 99 integra ls, and i was trying to change out my camber arms today.
I unbolted the 2 nuts on the strut tower, let it drop down, but i couldnt get the part thats connected to the suspension with that rubber boot thingy to come off. what do i have to do to get it to come out of its place?

I think he's talking about the upper ball joint.

loosen the nut on the ball joint, but dont take it completely off. Take a big hammer and hit the designated spot on the knuckle. U will see what I am talking about when u get under there. Keep hitting until the ball joint pops out. The hammer will cause vibrations, and the vibrations will eventually make the ball joint pop out

hammer is the better way of taking a balljoint off. and by far the easiest.

pickle forks will most likely damage the balljoint and rip the boot.

pullers can bend the threaded stud.

That's why you leave the nut on the tip of the threads. That way it wont bend.

I had no issue using a Pep Boys rented "pickle fork" to remove my upper ball joints. I wasn't planning on reusing them, so I wasn't very careful taking it off, and everything still seemed undamaged. Of course, YMMV.

Actually, I even did it with the wheels still on the car, since I had "lost" my wheel locks when my car was broken into, and there's just enough room between the tire and fender.
