If you look in the Hondata website, you will see some dynos with an intake/heat shield and with DCRH/exhaust. With all three, you should be getting more than 30 whp. You should also consider doing the heat shield as well. Only $50 with 2-3 install.

So you'd rather only have VTEC from 6200-8k
Rather than 4500-8700k?....

any reason why?

I spoke 2 a couple of kids at a meet last week they said you can hardly hear it kick in and they didn't feel that much more power beside a slight increase but not hearing it scream that kills it for me !

Whatever floats your boat WILD_WILL. I'd happily trade my "kick in the pants" at 6k for 30 more WHP, thank you very much.

Being fast > sounding fast. I'd take horsepower gains over noise ANY DAY.

I am more into the sweet sounds it makes after adding my injen sri intake the car is fast enough for me as it is i might turbo/SC down the road for now i am happy with what the car is giving me.

From 6700 down to 4500? How much are we talking about for this reflash? I love the sweet sound of vtec, but for 30 more hp i would trade "sounding fast" for "being fast". I do love the sound of vtec though 8)

I would imagine you would break 14's with H/I/E and the reflash considering and a best time of 14.2 was hit with just intake from the persons slips show? Definitely something i would be interested in once i purchase my Si.

I feel the same way Wild_Will does except the only reason im not getting the reflash is because i plan on going turbo later, likely AJP, so no use really.

Why are you listening to kids? Plus, did they even have intake, headers, exhaust or a combination? If not, then they wouldn't see any performance difference. In fact, you loose power.

yes it si worth it don't listen to wild will or anyone that doesn't have the flash. Trust me you will like what you bought trust me it is a sound investment. Yeah it lowers VTEC to 4.5k and yeah it is harder to hear iVTEC but that is the point the power curve is more linear. I made the most power at the cars originall IVTEC point, 6K where my power curve jumped 30 hp and 15 lb ft of tq.

Hondata usually offers upgrade programs.
