I noticed lately on my 1995 GSR that my RPM does not match my speedometer. Here's what I noticed, when my rpm is 4k the reading on speedometer is only 55mph, but I believe that my speed is 70mph. Then around hour and half of driving, my speedometer reading is 70mph with 4krpm. What is wrong with my car?

 

um.... 4k RPM in 4th gear ~55 mph.... 4k RPM in 5th gear ~70 mph, a little more (around 75).

4k 5th gear. haven't check for codes, no indicator lights nothing. the car is running, expcept for that weird rpm and speedometer reading.

 

my speedo bounces all over the place especially when im getting on it but i know thats the vss...you might want to check that..if its not the vehicle speed sensor, try going to a shop to get you speedo calibrated

 

how do i check the vehicle speed sensor?
