Default zc tranny question

my current si tranny is making all sorts of horrible griding noises, so i have decided that i need to replace it before i start commuting. my friend bought a sohc zc tranny from hmotorsonline.com not knowing you need and intermidiate shaft and integra axles. now i need to buy an intermidiate shaft, where can i get one? plus what integra axles do i use? thanks

axles i have 90-93 DA ones. work great. i got lucky and my friend had a zc intermediate shaft. they can be a pain to locate. u just have to look. check Ebay. and u need the exact bolts that were made for the zc intermediate shaft or it wont work.

I *think* that you can get an intermediate shaft off of a Civic Wagon as well. Not very sure on that though. Contact "jlicrx" on here, he's the ZC master, he'll know.

if you got a SOHC ZC tranny, its the same as the d16A6 tranny. no intermediate shaft needed or axles or whatever.

and as for the wagon shaft...no it will not work

I ordered a SOHC ZC longblock with the tranny from hmotorsonline and It came with the intermediate shaft and i used 90-93 Integra axles. So i dont know how people say you dont need the intermediate shaft. I got the SOHC ZC tranny with my swap and still had to use that stuff

its probably the dohc zc tranny then sent with it, cuz the sohc zc tranny is the same as the a6, infact, i think its the same tranny code, but i could be wrong on that

Here is an email from HMO:

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our company. You really only need the motor, but the tranny works as well. Reuse all your existing mounts, axles, and wire harness. If you have any other questions or concerns, please dont hesistate to give us a call.

I want to buy the sohc ZC motor and transmission. It is for a 91 crx
Si. Is there anything else I will need in order to put the ZC motor and
transmission in my crx?

honestly, i didnt like doing business with hmotorsonline.com. they have quality engines, and im hoping the same for the tranny. but it was very crappy on teh business part, not very nice, and didnt help me with anything technical. like this axle problem, if they would have told me that this tranny needed a intermidiate shaft it would have been %100 better. idk, my personal opinion, but this happened when my friend bought his engine, and when i bought mine
