Driver Side Head Light Is Dead.
do you mean trace as in following into all the wires that are together and has the black tube around it? I don't get what your trying to say here "how're the contacts inside of the plug going to the bulb?"

do like the other users told you, check the harness.
unplug the socket from the bulb, check inside that socket, does everything look ok? lots of rust or things missing?
look at where the wires go into the socket, are the wires in all the way? anything broken?
take off the factory wire loom and check the wiring up as far as you possibly can, is anything grounding out? any wires severed?
grab a multimeter and turn your headlights on, with the socket unplugged, check to see if anything is reading, if only a small amount, or if when you plug the bulb back in its dim, check your grounds.
check the headlight relays.
when did this problem occur? did you just turn the headlights on one night and the driver side was out? did you hit a huge bump? any accidents, etc?

Take a volt meter, set it on DCV 25 (or any other setting above 12) test to see what voltage you get on your battery terminals then test your head light plug w hile the cars head lights are on. May help to see if your even getting current to your lights.
naw haven't got time to check up on it. Been too busy working so now i drive my dads 1989 Mazda Rx7. Its a POS so i don't beat on it because its pretty junky. Trying to get money for my B18 build.
