I bought a civic 2006 a week ago, initially when I got it when I start it up I never noticed anything probably cuz I always had the sterio on, but yesterday
I started the car and I was waiting for it warm up before I drive it, I was outside it having a smoke and I noticed that the engine had quite sound but suddenly a low ticking sound started (it seem to be coming from the engine ) and stay that way as long as the car is worm, to be honest I dont know much about cars and this is bothering me, I want to know if this is something normal ? after you start the car and after that it worm up something kick off or is it an issue I should take it to the dealer to check it out.

its your injectors... its normal they are suppose to do it.

 

as liz mentioned its your injectors.. perfectly normal. you could also be hearing some valve-train noise which is nothing to be worried about... its more apparent when the motor is just started up

Thanks have the same car and was wondering if it was a valvetrain issue.

 

You'll hear normal valve noise along with a solenoid which is part of the evap and emission system which will click, sometimes loud. If you still feel it's not normal, go back to your dealer and ask your salesman to start another Civic and compare.
