Default aftermarket springs with stock shock

yes, i know this is in the faq but it doesnt answer my question.

car is a 1994 ls, has 139k miles on the factory shocks, and the aftermarket springs im getting are by megan racing.

the drop is 2.0 front and 1.75 rear. unfortunately i cannot afford shocks this month so i will have to hold off until christmas time when i get paid. are the shocks good for about three weeks?

my budget does offer enough to buy two shocks this month. is it a good idea to install two first? and if so, front or rear?

just wait and save up for the shocks so you could install it all at once

Personally, I would wait till you get your shocks to install everything.

Why would you waste your time putting springs on now and then having to get and pay for an alignment. When three weeks later your going to remove your suspension again to install the shocks and have to get another alignment. Your just wasting your time and money.

BTW, what made you choose megan springs? Also, what shocks are you planning on picking up?

i have ebay coil overs on GSR shocks with 120k miles on them.

some of u may say im dumb, but i never once ran into a problem.
i plan to replace the coil overs and shocks with some better oners,

but for now, everything is fine.

had them installed for half a year now, and i drive a lot..

at least 50 miles a day, i drive 30 miles to work, 30 miles home and in between that i drive at least another 10 - 20

How much did you lower your car with the coilovers?

There have been a few people who have been able to get away with using stock shocks. But the majority of the time, the stock shocks will blow.

I don't know anything abou those shocks but just make sure they can handle your drop.

its pretty low, but im not sure the measurements.

i can show a pick,

since i first raised it i had some issues of it cuz it was too low so i raised it about 2 more times and now im at a height im happy with.

and just in case my shocks do blow, i still have my stock LS shocks and springs. i kept them just in case.

the other options are koni specials, i dont really need the adjustability. just seems like the tokico hp are equivalent, but priced a bit lower.

You can get koni Yellows on here from sponsors for 460 shipped,
Best price I've seen so far, plus it's a night, and day difference over stock shocks.

Im rollin hard on some Neuspeed springs /w OEM shocks it handles like stock, so basicly crappy.

If you refuse to roll lifted whips, then throw em in now, otherwise if you want to save time just wait. Personally I am planning on getting shocks at some point but I refuse to ride lifted ****.

so... you're gonna take apart your shock body, and put the Megan springs on (which are pieces of **** might I add, I hate everything Megan, sorry) and then in a few weeks, take it all apart again to put them on different shocks? You're asking for more work than it's worth. Just wait.

These are good shocks, they will lower your car like .75 inches more or something like that than the springs will alone

i always say go with coilovers tho.

***** it, install all four. although the oem struts weren't designed for short springs, if they are in good condition, you should be okay. then save up and ket some tokicos or what ever brand you want.
