Default 92 shift cables

hey, on my car...

the shifter itself is really hard to move, it also wont go lower than D3, the car drives ok so i dont think the tranny is about to blow, but i did put that transmission helper stuff in it from autozone, someone told me its the shifter cables that are making the shifter tough to move. Is that a problem i can fix mysef? how would i do it?

To replace the shift cable you'll need to get the console off, then underneath you'll find a cover on the trans that has to come off, and I think on those 92 Accords you have to drop the heat shield of the exhaust to get to a couple bolts.

no special tools needed, getting the trans end of the cable free can be a PITA [special tool is a 5th of Makers Mark ]
Shouldn't hurt to drive the car
