Default Quick question..

My buddy Alex just got a brand new 07' Si, and i asked him to drive and he let me. When i was shifting into a lower gear i noticed that the revs stayed the same for a second or so when the clutch was in. Why is that?

thanks guys.

The new Civic runs a drive by wire system that is different than the throttle cable system of older Civics; this is part of the reason for the "Rev hang" that you noticed.

It also has to do with the ECU and for some of the earlier produced 06 Civics (like mine) a trip to the Honda dealer for a reflash can help decrease the "Rev hang."
