Gettin' out of the hole.....
I have a '94 GSR with I/H/E, and I have driven several other fwd cars at the same track, and I have never had a problem getting consistent 2.0's-2.2 60' out of the cars. I took my car to the track for the first time since I've owned it, and I'll be damned if I couldn't break a 2.5 60'. I tried feathering the gas out of the hole, slippin' the clutch, nothing worked. I would like to know what you guys do....anyway, I have a stock(ish) clutch, flywheel, and some michelin pilots that were deflated to about 20-21psi. TIA
what are you trying to launch at? And those tires have such a stiff sidewall, that lowering the pressure really isn't going to help much. I would try either babying it out off the line or, investing in a better tire. I'm not saying you can't probably drop a little more off you 60ft's with those tires, but if your launching to high with a crappy tire, its always gonna = wheelspin = bad 60's
I tried launching before low (4k), and it bogged,I tried launching a little higher (5k) and it spun...keep in mind i was either slipping, or feathering, or a little of both. I have had better traction on a much shittier tire.....It's just odd, ran the car 4 times and only knocked a tenth off my 60ft. I didn't care what my e.t. was, i was trying to launch the car......Would you reccomend some drag radials? or slicks? I plan on installing a NOS wet kit this week (75-100shot). Thanks.

Some days the track is just shitty.
The first thing I do is ask other people how their 60fts are. People love to bitch and complain when the track conditions suck. haha..
