Default welding stainless steel with a mig welder?

i've heard of people doing it and there's no problem with it. i have a Hobart 125v welder and was wondering if that was good enough for welding on stainless steel? i don't have and gas right now, so i will be using flux core wires? will that be fine? anyone done it? anything will help. thanks

What size of object, what thickness material, what grade of stainless?
All of these matter. It can be done, but gasless flux wire is terrible.
Any of the good flux cores I have used on stainless are all gas-shielded.
Solid .035" wire will work, but also requires gas shielding.
If the material is on the thin side, I would recommend GTAW(TIG).
More info would help me make a solid recommendation.
