after thinking about it
and after remembering to convert from UK gallons to US gallons (why do you lot always have to mess with stuff
) on a mixed motorway run at 70-80mph and some VTEC i'll achieve 42mpg

After the installation of the A's, milage in the city improved but city milage decreased. Now, I typically get around 33-35 mpg on the highway and about 25 mpg in the city.

The correct answer is that the tank holds 13.2 gallons. Of course, you can fill it any time you want - including when the gauge gets down to 1/8, when you will fill it with around 9 gallons; when the warning light first comes on, when you will fill it with around 10 gallons; etc.

okay, correct me if im wrong. i get 250 full tank from full to till gas lights up. i know thats not the full 13.2 cause if it is then it will be out of gas. so all the fellow who posted on this thread what did you guys divide from the full total mileage to how many gallons? (10, 11, 12, or 13 gallons.)

divide by how much gas you had to put in to fill it back up. Thats how much you used.

Thats just making things unnecessarily complicated. Fill your tank till to the neck (almost overflowing) drive in your normal manner till the light comes on and fill it again to the neck. Then divide the amount of miles you covered by the number of gallons it took to fill up again. This will give you a reasonably accurate MPG figure. It doesnt make any difference how big or small he tank is or how many gallons/litres are left in it when you fill up again, as you only want/need to know how much fuel it took to cover what ever is on the odometer.
Anyone know why UK/Europe and US gallons and miles are different?
1mpg in the UK = 0.83267mpg in the US.
