i have a '91 honda accord ex-exr 5spd and i want to swap a '92 accord lx auto engine in. will it fit? is there any major concerns of doing this?

i have the money and will buy the engine soon if im sure it will fit.

also the '92 lx accord will turn over and move but will not shift out of 1st gear. any suggestions on what that might be?

also if anyone needs parts of a '92 accord let me know theyre goin for the low

 

That swap should work just fine.
If the car won't shift out of first gear I'd guess the trans is toast.

 

ya it is a direct swap just R&R except for the plate on the auto but just unbolt that and slap the flywheel on
as for the auto tranny ya it might just be done is the d4 light blinking? passing gear cable snapped?

 

what i know about the 92 is jujst what i have posted but i will be buying the car soon and ill check the pgc and d4 light when i get it. i appreciate all the help
