performance brake pads for 2005 accord
Has anyone tracked the o5 accord on tracks like button willow or streets of willow.
What brakes pads are recommended?
I dont think the hp plus will be good enough for hard braking with the accord since the car weighs 3100 plus pounds.
thanks

axxis ultimate, hp plus
I use ultimate on all my honda, pretty good street and track combo, not a full track pad of course.
porfield, carbolt, will be a better track pad but they do eat away the rotor and requires a higher operation temperture.
but i can tell you one thing, it's not the brake, it's how you use the brake. if you know your line good enough, you can attack willow with stockie

i ve been going to willow for 3 years now about 5-7 times a year. Im pretty familiar with the track.
just never in a honda accord. I want better pads becuase i make up a lot of time on the braking zones.
my last car wrx with hp plus all 4 new pads, had to throw away the front pads after 3 sessions one day. the wrx weighs roughly the same as the accord. so im assuming the hp plus will not be enough for me with this car at the same track
so kind of seeing what others have used.... i could use hp plus and make it work but Id rather go with something that will last for my driving style.
the axxis ultimates which ive used seemed pretty comparable with the hp plus so i dont think that will work either?
i might have to go with cobalt or something.

hp plus and ultimate are street/track pad, not the ***** out track pad by any means.
did you crack the pad or it worn down to a point that you can't use?
i cracked my pad in half last time i went with oem pad.
get something dedicated for track only and a extra set of brembo blanks for it, it'a actually a cheaper way out than wasting track pad on the street and warping the rotor, etc.

yeah on my wrx basically with 2000 miles of street use and 1 track day (3 sessions). the front pads wor down to like 3 mm or something and was crumblingall over..
i never had this happen to me with my civic, prelude, integra.
thanks though.. i was just wondering if anyone had sucess with specific pads at these tracks. but ill prob try cobalt and call them up and see what they recommend and switch the pads out for track day.
