Default Blow off valve sound

I have an 88 turbo supra, I installed an ARC BOV with recirculate in the same place the stock BOV is connected and the same way. When I am boosting there is no sound from the BOV going off at all. The stock BOV makes a fluttering sound (Compressor surge?) I tried disconnecting the recirculate and loosining the preload adjustment but still there is nothing. Is this normal?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I already searched different supra forums and here but have found nothing.
Thanks,
Jason

Thats what i was thinking that since it is a recirc model that it would be quieter but not quieter than stock

If you are hearing it flutter, then you are more than likely correct...that is compressor surge which is bad....

Check and make sure it is getting proper vacuum..

If you don't hear any flutter it's working..

Function >> fashion in your case..

The stock MA70 BOV's are horrible, I had an 88 and it used to surge and a guy from my school has an 89 and it surges aswell.
