What I do/have done is go to a acura, talk to one of their techs ... most of which do after work jobs or home jobs and get it done right for real cheap!

That works fine, as long as you have the time to do it, the place to do it (a lift is even better), the tools to do it, and you enjoy doing it. Some people don't have one or more of those things and may prefer to have someone else do it. Whatever works for you...

no problem, i didnt mean anything negative by it, but if i were you i would watch the work get done or atleast ask questions just incase down the line u need to know. (after all Ti retainers are not somthing u put in and forget about)

Ken, with what he's doing you also forgot the knowledge and ability to do it right.

I didn't forget that. I thought about including them in my post, then decided not to, since he did say "learn how" in his post, and I figured they were covered by that.

One thing I should have mentioned is also having a service manual, which is essential.

Something related, what I worry about when I do light work on my own car, is not so much how to do a specific task, but what to do when something goes wrong - a bolt doesn't fit right, or something breaks, etc...

I'd help you but you are up north a little too far. It's not really all that hard if you have the tools.

Good luck, sounds like you've quite a few people up there to help you out.
