Default obd1 B18B alternator into obd1 d15

My alternator is shot in the 1992 Civic LX winter car I have, so I was wondering if an OBD1 B18B alternator would work because I have one of those. I know the plug and pulley are the same, but the alternator looks like it will mount a little differently because the mounting holes are a little closer to the center of the alternator. This post from years ago says that it will work:

but I want to make sure before I go out into the snowy -20 degree wind chill. Please no theory, just first-hand experience. Thank you
