i know the site says red and grey top hats. but i recieved a gold set. can anyone tell me why these are gold and why it looks slightly different than the red and grey ones? i need some info. also, i didn't get anything except for what you see... so that means i'm missing a few things right? like the center bushing or whatever the shock goes in.

 

when i bought mine, it came with 2 washers and 2 nuts, also there should be a 2 part bushing for the center. the gold does look pretty sweet, would of matched my koni yellows.

 

yeah i knew i was missing stuff. hmm.. well i hope i can get those parts soon. i like the color of these top hats, and it'll match my car perfect. so thats a plus.. but i'm still disappointed with the parts missing.

 

Did you get them from Ground Control directly?

 

i ordered it through weaksauce.. and they ordered it from ground control. i believe thats how it worked.

edit: does anyone know what i can use for the bushing part? can i just use the ones on my stock top hat?

 

i'd call weaksauce if were you and ask them about the missing parts. mine also came with the bolts,washers & bushings as stated above .

 

Each individual top-hat should have come with two hard black poly bushings (one top & one bottom), two larger gold colored washers on the outside of either bushing, a soft white bump-stop in the bottom, a larger black spring locating bushing, two nylon insert lock-nuts on the studs & two small washers (one for each lock-nut). All that stuff should have been zip-tied to the top-hat, and would look just like this:

thats exactly how mine came as well. i ordered the pewter ones, which are more of a dusty/light purple silverish color. I didn't ordered them directly from gc, i ordered them through a friend who ordered them directly.

yeah thats what i figured... i already pm'd and emailed weaksauce the pictures. so hopefully i'll get the parts asap. can't believe i got these this way.

 

can anyone tell me if the black bushing on the inside is suppose to be sitting the same way as the top one.. or is it suppose to be flipped around?

 

The tapered side of both bushings face outward...

 

are you using these on gc coilovers?
