Default 2006 Accord Halos + HIDs

Alright, so recently I bought a pair of Halo projectors for my g/f's 2006 V6 Accord EX. I have already installed them and they look great. Lights seem kinda dim so I'm going to upgrade her lights into HIDS.

This is what I got her:

I don't know much about car lighting, but do I need to get an HID conversion kit or what? It says 4200k Xenon gas but I am lost. And what's the best place to get one for a good/decent price?

Your best bet is to do a retro fit HIDs into the aftermarket accord headlight projectors. Alot of times you will have excessive glare putting HIDs into halogen projectors. I had terrible results and went with a retro and came out hella better. Good luck.

So retro my Halos instead of just putting HID bulbs in it?

Bleh, I guess I'm just going to do a simple HID set up. I don't have that kind of money right now to be retro-ing her lights.

The problem with just putting an HID bulb kit into the 2006 Accord is that the OEM lights are single-bulb reflector units, right? You will have to be careful to buy from someone who is selling you a kit designed to work for those specific reflectors.

Certainly, putting a kit in that was designed for a different kind of headlight will introduce a lot of glare, and you might have to re-aim the lights lower than you might want.

The counter argument is that you'll have more and whiter light than you would have with the regular Accord lights. I have a friend with a 2006 Accord, and I think that the lights are pretty good, as far as OEM non-HID lights go.

There's a company in Richmond VA that specialises in HID conversions, including the 2004-2007 Accords. I don't remember the name but you might be able to find it in a search here or at the two other sites that specialise in Generation 7 Accords.
