TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

Do u guys think its too good to be true . the car does not burn oil an it has stage 3 act clutch an short shifter . but yeah im not sure if i feel like its worth buying an finding out if theres a catch to it.

now that's not always true...
i would personally have the car checked out by a mechanic, to make sure the swap was done correctly and to make sure all the bells and whistles work right. because i made the mistake of taking the guys word and the car just about fell apart after i bought it and it took a lot of money and time to make it work the way i expected. my car is in the same situation, it has a salvage/rebuilt title from being stolen and was completely restored by the owner i bought it from. however he did it all in his driveway without a clue of what he was doing and f'ed the whole thing up and put parts from all different kinds of cars on it. now it's my job to fix what he screwed up. i just wouldn't personally recommend anyone else have to go through that if possible. also maybe check it on carfax or something of that nature to make sure there's not more to the story then he's telling you. but other then that the car sounds like a good deal. the price is a little on the low side, but he may be cutting you a deal cause your close to him, however there might be something wrong with the car too and he's trying to dump it on someone...like a headgasket, valves, etc...just do your homework before buying something like that.

That's not that bad of a deal, since it was salvaged from theft rather than collision, the frame is still straight. Ask him if you could borrow it for a couple of days to drive and really listen for other unforseen problems, and perform some test, i.e. compression, 0-60, 60-0, you get the point.

clean title means that nothing has happened to the car and it's still free of theft, accidents, fire, flood, etc...
a virgin integra if you will...they're becoming harder and harder to track down.

$2k sounds like a good price, salvage title or not. you make it sound like its in pretty good condition. i'd go for it.
