high pitched noise
okay i have a 95 honda accord ex sedan 5spd.. okay i notice that if i take off.. like 1st gear..2nd gear.. 3rd gear u can hear a high pitched sound like the car got turbo but is not spooling type of sound... is this normal? it doesn;t do it while idle.. and its not the belts i don't think..
mmmm do you an amp and subs? I used to have that same sound comming through my speakers, haha my friend would always joke asking if i had turbo. It was the alternator whinning.
yes i do.. but i think the sound was there before the subs.. but previous owner had a system.. and come to think of it.. i think it is the alternator whining.. is that a bad thing.. or it means alt might need replacing.. sound turbo.. but when ur in 3rd gear or 4th you dont really hear it..

A normal alternator makes a spinning/whining noise, but it isn't very loud. If the noise gets louder, it can be the alternator beginning to go bad. It can take a long time
You could wait for it to get louder, then maybe you can replace the alternator in spring instead of now?

How loud is yours? I can't hear it from here. I was just suggesting a possibility.
You should still check out whether you have any flaky grounds or stuff like that anyway.
