I have the Z10 kit on my ITR, I love it, but don't feel like typing, Do a search and type Z10, I just checked and pulled up at least ten posts on them.

yes, I've seen 60' times come down a matter of 2/10ths in some cases. In street trimmed cars, stock front street tires are planted harder on the ground as the car tries to lift the bars counteract 2 times over. Too hard of an adjustment and something will give, i.e. I've seen axles snap if not adjusted correctly. Need to leave play. Also, tops off great with poly urethane bushings.
Please feel free to email Rob or Jimmy or even Chrissi
at Z10, they're all more than happy to help out.

I've been considering these for some time, but am wondering if they're almost like a rubber chicken:
They reduce or eliminate wheel hop, but does that translate into better 60 ft or 1/4 times? Dropspeed says no, while Greg says yes.....

What about better lap times on the road course or autox, because the car has more traction on corner exit? I *think* Dropspeed is saying yes.....
It seems to me, that the z10 bars all but eliminate wheel hop... but does this in fact cause wheelspin instead, and no better times?
I'd like to know b/c z10 bars are on my list of mods to come.....
no. it doesn't cause wheelspin. you have to remember that its part of a system. if your tires blow....your launch blows. if your shocks are blown...your still gonna get some lift off the pavement. i'll locate the article that was writen on the z10 for you in roadracing. http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/z10.html
i had difficulties with my z10's early on...but it was because they weren't adjusted properly. i found the best way to be.....lift whole front end off the ground. adjust rods so that you can still turn them by hand pretty easily. when car is set on the ground they have slight preload. i net 1.71-1.75 60' tims consistantly

With respect to the wheel hop some people see, the bars are generally not adjusted, hey are just bolted on and thats it so of course they would not get the true effectiveness of the traction system. On street cars, I've adjusted them and people really love the response, but Jimmy knows the best adjustment points.
But the answer is yes, they help plant the car and reduce wheel hop and increase acceleration.

I didn't notice any ground breaking 60' times, but I did notice that my 60' time were alot more consistant witht he Z10s. I don't auto-x much but I did notice that the Z10 made a difference in cornering. I felt like thewheels were more planted than before.
I agree with Greg, I over tighten my Z10s and it snapped my axle in half. But Once, I correctly adjusted them I haven't had a problem since.
I had no wheel hop before or after i installed the z-10 bars.
I WAS running 1.7 60' before and 2.0 after though. I adjusted the bars every which
way and even went so far as to realign the car after adjustment. no change.
no traction. Needless to say, they are gone.

I was at the dragstrip the week before and the week after the Z-10 bars where installed. It is correct I was running 2.0 60 foots on a 17 inch street tire and was able to continue, But it was MUCH easier to launch without drama/wheelhop. Evertime I shifted into 2nd at the dragstrip More wheelhop. In my case The Z10 BAr eliminated all of the wheel hop and made it easier to drive, but my 60ft stayed the same, on street tires. If I switched to slicks It might be different
On a road course, I just can't describe how fast the car can accelerates away from a corner because of the added traction. Hopefully I'll show people at the EXPO
The car just feels so planted with out any I'll affects.
My car is not set-up for Drag-racing its just something I enjoy doing. SO with the proper set-up I would yield better 60fts. The car has Apex-i N-1s, 2 degrees of negative camber front and rear and has the toe out in the front.

I ran a 2 day event at Gratton (MI) and was concerned they might act like a front swaybar causing the car to understeer/push. The best way to describe it was I would come up to a corner, brake, Turn the wheel and hit the gas again, the car would turn 90 degrees and shoot out of corners like a rocket. It felt like the drive wheels were glued to the ground. I was able to run 1:29xs out at Gratton, which is faster than I have ever run there.
