It's not Basso loud, but it is loud. Any N1 style exhaust is going to be loud.

Not so bad with the silencer in, but it is significantly louder than an Apexi WS when the silencer is not in.

IMO, if you need to use a silencer on an exhaust you should not be in the market for an after market for an exhaust.

I have the Spoon N1 on my R and I use the silencer for normal use. The reason I do so is because I like being able to have a converstation in the car with someone while on the highway. When I get to the track I could care less. Its a good way of keeping a car civilized on the street. It also keeps the cops from pulling me over for the fun of it.

hey guys, this topic started because of me. i just bought a 99 em1 with a jdm b18c motor in it. it is comming with the apexi ws exhaust on it. i have alwasy loved the look and quality of spoon sports and i wanted to get the n1 exhaust for it.

i had a sti and i dont think that this exhaust would be any louder than the one n1 style on my subaru with no cats.

thanx for the replies.

dick

2.5L STI box motor with an N1 style exhaust is 100X different than a 1.8L ITR motor with the same exhaust. and that N1 on your STI was loud as fawk anyway, you just couldnt hear it inside the car because its a fat pig.

and youre still a d00schebeyg
