Problems, please help!
Lately I've been hearing a studdering noise from my engine, then poof a huge cloud of gray smoke would come out from behind my car. My car isn't over-heating, but I do see bubbles coming out of my radiator when someone revs my motor. My oil is dissipating little by little too.
I'm not sure if it's a blown head gasket or just running rich. Also, as I pulled out my spark plugs, I found that all their threads had liquid on them, I'm not sure if the liquid was gasoline, oil or coolant. Please help me diagnose my engine, please!! Thanks in advance.
Make/Model/Year?
Your coolant will "bubble" when rev'ing the motor under normal conditions.. thats the sign the waterpump is doing its job..
Oil dissipation is normal, I don't know how you are measuring oil consumption.. but I do know that the dipstick is not a considerable means..
Traces of liquid on the plug threads would most likely be oil "seeping" down into the plug tubes from bad valve cover plug port seals ( depending on make).. It is highly unlikely it is a fluid located from within the combustion chamber trying to work its way out.. theres easier ways to "escape" than thru the spark plug threads...
You need to take a good visual look at the plugs for proper "burn".. there used to be a good link here with pictures to show this, if anyone knows the link, please post.. Thanks!

Man H-T is the sh*t. (In a good way of course!!) You guys are great!!
Anyhow, my motor is a fully built LS/Vtec:
GSR Port/Polish Head(Portflow)
Portflow valvetrain(spings and retainers)
stainless steel valves
Skunk2 stage 1 cams and cam gears
Skunk2 IM w/ hondata gasket
AEM fuel rail w/ RC 310 injectors
Comptech Icebox
MSD wires
Golden Eagle Sleeves
JE 84.5mm 12:1 compression
ARP head bolts
Eagle Rods
DC JDM header w/ 2.5 Carsound Cat-2.5" piping all the way back
New vtec oil pump and water pump
All new bearings with micropolished crank
Everything balanced and blueprinted
CM lightweight FW and Stage 4 clutch
Running Hondata Stage 2, tuned!!
My motor is only 1 month old w/ 2,400 miles on it as of today. It was built by the best shop, IMO, IMPORTBUILDERS.
I do see oil on the sides of the chambers where the plug wires plug onto the spark plugs. Any more suggestions? Also, how much should I expect to pay for a compression test??

Are you supposed to see a lot of oil in the coolant or just a small trace? I'm getting paranoid here guys, I really don't want to ruin my motor. If my headgaskets blown, would it smoke all the time, or just occasionally?
Dude... if the motor is newly rebuilt, these conditions may exsist from the motor not reaching its "break-in" period yet, well the smoke part at least.. and slight oil "seepage" thru the plugs seals is acceptable, as long as it isn't leaking down to the plugs..
A compression test will prolly run about $75 ( mileage may vary).. but do not go this route for determining your problem... A compression test will NOT determine a blown headgasket.. I say this strongly, because evertime I mention it, i get flamed by some weenie..
