Tranny and Rear Diff oil change.. how hard?

Default Tranny and Rear Diff oil change.. how hard?

Hey guys how hard is it to change the tranny fluid and rear diff fluid.

Are the drain bolts and fill bolts easy to get to?

anything special I may need?

piece of cake....

the only thing i suggest is a piece of tubing for the rear diff fluid ..... it is a real pain to put the fluid in.......i used the tube off of my tranny fluid gun

just make sure you don't have any diff juice in the tranny, the brass syncro in the tranny doesn't like the diff juice that much

get a pump, 5 dollar will save you alot of spills and headache.

Mike, seriously your only like 10-15 mins from the house/shop and we both have them. I've got all the stuff you need up there, you just have to meet me up there on day after work.

Yeah man for sure.. def. sounds good... I will be looking to do this sometime next week... Is next week too early for you? Looks like we can kill two birds with one stone.

yeah i'd definitely buy the pump. However, a free alternative is to use the pump off like an old bottle of lotion or Orange Gojo. Depending on if Honda MTF and diff fluid (im assuming thats what you're using) have threaded necks and there's enough room to shove a lotion pump between the trans and the tunnel or the diff and the subframe.

i bought a little hose at kragen that threaded onto the diff/tranny fluid bottles and i just squeezed. its simple.
