I had a little incident with my Civic and a guard rail at the South track at the Chicago Autobahn. Needless to day the front end is crunched.
You can see the damage here. http://picasaweb.google.com/1995egsi/CrashedCivic . Since I am running in an unlimited class because of the motor swap with MCSCC and would be HU for Honda Challenge I was considering doing a tube front end on the car.
I have found a fabricator that is willing to do the work but he is used to doing full tubframe cars and would like some pics of semi tube frame cars.
I would prefer 92-95 Civic pics but CRX or anything will do. This would be for Road Racing not drag. But drag pics will also work.

Yes it will be tied into the cage and I am also going to be gussiting the gage to the A and B pillars.
I don't think it is worth it to tube up the front.
There are some Mugen or J's racing or some JDM brand parts that add structural integrity to the front of the car. They look like fenders almost.
Your damage doesn't look that bad so a new chasis prolly isn't viable.

The dammage is worse in person.
Frame rails are bent and shock tower on the passenger side is bent also.
It has been to a body shop and they recommended cutting everything forward of the fire wall and welding on a new clip. That is the reason for tubing the front end.

yeah I could see that the tower was offset a lil bit. Did but sometimes they can fix that stuff.
I think you are going to need one hell of a hookup to make a tubed front affordable. You should just strip the car and reuse the roll cage by cutting it out strategically.
While you are at it, you might as well just pick how long you want your wheel base and possibly use an entirely non honda setup. I'm not saying that Honda parts aren't good, just saying you have a lot of options when you roll custom.

I've had these pics on my computer a long time. I don't know much about the car other than it's some kind of GT car. I'm sure someone knows a little something about them.

That is an ICSCC SPU car, also I think they ran in the Westcoast Sports Car Challenge, which is an endurance series class-based on lap times.
