gotta question...a friend of mine picked up a set of jdm tail lights for his db...after install he said it had a big gap between the trunk lid and that he now needed to buy a jdm trunk...

anyone know if this is true...his tail lights are stanley btw...

 

i dont think it should matter, cause i had a jdm 4dr itr trunk on my db8 with usdm tailight and it fit fine.

 

If you are referring to a DB1 as in an old school sedan, then he most likely ordered the wrong taillights. There are 2 different taillight/trunk setups.
*90-91-- red and pink/white taillights
*92-93-- had orange turn signals in taillights.
The trunks are no interchangeable! You have to get the trunk lid to go along with the taillights. So if his taillights have the orange turn signals, then tell him to go to a junkyard and get a stock 92-93 lid. Do the opposite if they're red/pink. Hope that helps!
