DBW is a work in progress- American Honda
DBW (drive by wire) is a "work in progress" an American Honda representative told me today. Honda representative Chris (1 800 999-1009 ext.118092) told me this morning that the company is logging all consumer comments about the Honda Civic Si and plans to address concerns regarding "rev hang," a situation where the engine's rpms remain up for a second or two after the gas pedal has been released.
Chris could not give a definate date by which American Honda would produce a service bulletin regarding the 2007 model Si, but he assured me that the company will respond to consumer input.
It is important for all Honda customers to give American Honda as much input as possible so that the company can guage the breath of this problem and allocate the neccesary resources to creating a fix.
