Whats the real deal w/ Skunk2 pro 1 cams and idle?
Ive been searching for the past week now and havent found any concrete evidence on how well/poorly the Pro 1 cams will idle on an H22A.
Ive read the whole you will need to crack your throttle body open and have them idle at 1300rpm but Im still concerned about stalling. With a lightened flywheel and pulleys I hear when coming to a stop and letting out the clutch too quickly you are almost guaranteed to stall?
My car is a daily driven street car, in stop and go, and I was recommended by S2 to go with their Pro 1 cams because of the power they make. I would think their stage 2s (not pro 2s) would be just fine for my application.
Id really like to hear from ppl with these cams as to how well/bad the car drives in daily traffic.
Relevant mods are:
Ferrea valvetrain
ported head
Stock bottom end
fidanza flywheel
UR pulleys
RC 370cc Injectors
Hondata S300 ECU

I've been running the skunk stage 1 cams for 14,000 miles. No idle problems what so ever. the skunk stage 1 cams are comparable to the type s cams
