Default F22 or H22 trans

I can either get a F22 trans with an obx lsd or I can get a H22 trans with lsd. Which would be a better choice??

Are you putting the tranny on an H22? If so, I think the gearing is totally different and you'll probably want to go with the H22 tranny.

And you can't really go wrong with an OEM LSD....

I am putting in on an H22. The gearing for the F22 is alittle longer. going 80 in 5th gear you would be at 3 grand. With the H22 you would be more at 3600rpm. The obx lsd is helical where as the stock lsd is clutch type. Its my buddies tranny hes trying to get me to switch with him plus cash. So i dont know what i should do.

What's the deal?

His F22 w/ OBX LSD tranny + cash for your H22 OEM LSD tranny?

If this is the deal it would depend on the amount of money.

Ok here is the deal. Swap his F22 for my H22 lsd. He said he would give me 500 for the trade and he would install an obx lsd in his F22 for me. I would have to buy the obx lsd but he would put it in. What do you guys think?

No, long gears are NOT good for boost. Shorter gears = faster acceleration period. However, there is such a thing as too short.

H22 ftw.... agreed but gears too short ehh yeah i guess if its a daily or its so short you top out before a long strait on a track or soo short you just get wheel spin but short is usually good in my book

If you already have the H22 oem lsd installed than just keep it.
Reasons:
Do you really want an f22 tranny?
Do you really want an OBX lsd?

Cash is nice but can be compensated by saving or working overtime.
That is the most straightforward answer I can suggest.
