Default Spoon Calipers - What're they worth now days?

I've been out of the loop for a while now, but would anyone be so kind as to tell me what a set of Spoon Calipers for DC2/EK9-R knuckles with ~900miles on them are worth?

thanks

I don't know if I'd even pay 1k for them used... you never know how many miles are on them for sure and they might need to be reserviced?

Hmmm ... I was just asking Mike M about a set.
But new they're just a little too pricey.

$1200 for a set isn't too bad, considering a nice header or catback cost ~$1000.

As far as how much a used set of Spoon brakes worth, I would say about $700-$800.

I could deal with that (~$800 shipped).
Mike quoted me a new set at something like $1500. (Ouch)

I got my last set (which were stolen on my last 97), on sale for something like $1200 several years ago.

Wow lots of lowballers in here. If he can somehow prove that there are only 1K miles on here then I'd say they are worth 900 at least. Providing there is no cosmetic or mechanical damage. Honestly that's half of what everyone worries about.

I got mine cheap but they had more like 5K miles on em.

Not to my knowledge, and people have also asked about rebuild kits on here w/o any success.

OT: I know there are 1 or 2 options for calipers with comparable weight and performance to the spoons. What are they? I forgot...

This question came up quite often, but when and how do you know that your calipers need rebuilding? Can you actually feel a decrease in performance?

I had owned and tracked on Spoon calipers for 4 years. I always kept the fluid clean and when I sold them, they were still performing like they were new.

I have never heard of Spoon calipers leak because of worn seals, even tho they have been around for at least 7 years. So, I'm really not sure if rebuilding is a concern. Maybe for some people it is, but not for me.
