Default connecting rod question.....

What OEM connecting rods can replace d16y7 OEM connecting rods??? are there other d series engines that have stronger OEM rods? would any B series rods work?

I have heard of people machining down factory LS connecting rods to use in dseries engines but I believe the B rod has a larger pin diameter so the rods would need sleeved down.

The d16b5 which was the natural gas Civic that was only available to fleet buyers was a 12.5:1 compression motor which I *think* was similar to an hx motor (had roller rockers) and it had the beefiest oem d rods you can get. I don't know if the wrist pin diameter is the same--but you can always get them machined. They aren't as rare as people think, but since only fleets bought them--they seem to be mostly on the west coast. I looked up some of them when I was interested in buying one and putting my a6 head on to have a quick, easy high-compression back up motor--they were around $600-$1000. Im Bense--I believe he is/was building one up and can tell you more. Otherwise, I understand ZC rods are a little more robust.
