Hey guys, i have a 93 SI and the A/C refrigerant needs to be recharged, what kind of refrigerant do our cars use, and how much can i expect to pay to have it done for me?

i *think* a `93 would probably use the old R-12...which is very expensive....i'd expect to pay at least $100+....i'm not quite sure how much that stuff is per pound these days. But I wouldn't do any of that....i'd just get the system converted to 134A for a little more $$ and get the new 134A put in.

...of course you could have 134A in your car already...which would be cheap just for a refill.

Also....there is a sticker somewhere in the engine bay that states which refrigerant is used i believe..
