There is an SCCA autocross at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa this Saturday and Sunday (May 11-12). I hope some of you ITR guys can make it. The last one was lots of fun and I am sure this one will be too. Hope to see you there...

Damn Kenji, maybe I'll head down there to give your mullet a good pull. If I go, this would be my last novice run. Last time I bent 2 valves and threw my **** in a ditch. Let's see how well I do this time...I'll probably just go Sunday as well. Any times, cost, details? It's the track behind the Fairgrounds right? I'll probably give you a call Kenji

I just got back from running today (Saturday). I think I did pretty well. My driving has definitely improved over the last few autocrosses. I was about 1.5 seconds behind a M Coupe with race tires and engine work (on the first course layout of the day). I was on street tires (Bridgestone Potenze RE010). The guy is a REAL good driver too.

This one kid (I am pretty sure his name is Nate) drove my car and got second fastest time of day (on the second course layout of the day). He is a VERY good driver also.

It was lots of fun. I saw a yellow ITR w/a CF hood out there. He was not running. I was the only ITR running on Saturday.

They had the run groups set up real nice. There were about 10-15 cars in each group and you got to run for an hour. None of the usual three run stuff. It was a practice day. We got to do this for two run sessions.

I had a lot of fun. I also got racoon eyes from wearing my glasses in the sun too long.

Nice, D and I will definately be there tomorrow with Dave. I think Simon (PY ITR), Charles (FBP ITR) and Dave (CW ITR) will probably stop by. I'll be running Novice for the last time this race. Dave & D will be running SM. What are you running in? CSP? I hope those damn Datson's don't show up. They always whoop up on everyone. It should be fun. See you tomorrow mullet boy.

 

Too bad I don't live there any more, or else I'd come. When I was down there the SCCA used to run at MacDill and I seemed to be the only R. Any of you guys race out at Martin in Orlando? They should be running this weekend too. They used to do second Sunday of every month.
