ECU help
Will a 88 teg 5 speed ECU work with a D16Z6 hybrid which is a 90 STD. It
starts with the 90 SI ECU runs to 3200 rpms so I thought my ECU was dead
got a 88 teg ecu and it doesn't start. I ran fine for about a month and then one day it up and went crazy. Thought killed my ECU so I got a new one.It should work right or wrong. Its throwing code for intake temp sensor and atmospheric pressure sensor 10 Which was the same code as my SI ECU and 13. Can any one help me please my car has been fubared for about 2 weeks now and I'm stuck driving a GEO hatch. Please help me.
The ECU model is 37820-PG7-L013 is this even a 5 speed ECU??

you mean the d15b1 block 91 std with a 92-95 z6 head.the 88 teg should work.never had a code ten, change that and see what happens.i would get my ecu to stop throwing codes and go from there.
not the geo!
not the geo!
Well its a 90 Std. Its a real V-tec D16Z6 no head swap entire motor. MSD RPM module controling the Vtec. Its a 90 SI distributor. It was a DX to SI swap it ran perfect for about a month (pulled 1 not so lucky teg that was braggin on his B18B) so it ran perfect. I had the same problem b4 but the B10 and B12 pins ran wrong had them connected to C1 and C2 opps! So I double check my wiring to the distributor and everything is perfect. Well I guess I'm gonna bring my ECU to work and let my friend try both of my ECU's in his ZC swap to test them. It will start with the SI ECU but just cranks with the teg. I've used 2 different distributors both from and SI both doing the same thing. Test there resistance and no problems. Code 10 is the intake air temp sensor. I guess will test my ECU's and go from there. I double checked my grounds and there also good. Just plagued with this problem.
