Bought Toda valve springs and titanium valve retainers to rebilt my engine.
Hi, people.
Bought the Toda valve springs and titanium valve retainers to rebuilt my head, my Honda dealer is going to put all new valves too.
So bought this setup to raise the rev limit.
What do you think is safe, 9100 rpm or more, Toda say it´s safe to run until 9500 rpm.
What do you think ?
Thanks,
Pinota

I have stock cams.
I replaced the belt last month, isn´t safe to keep it ?

I wish my honda dealer was as cool as yours...****...you can put all this stuff in your motor and still maintain a warranty?? My dealer bites your head off for having ANY little mod such as an intake.
About your timing belt, your stock one is fine, just replace it after 15k-20k. With the PE belt you don't have to change it as often.

Don't think the Toda valvetrain is gonna do much in gaining power without completing the package with the Toda cams. Cams gears will help you extract power from stock cams if you get dyno time. Good luck..

the stiffer springs will add a little more stress to the belt... but with stock cams you should be fine.
9,500 will be more than enough with stock cams.

Ok, Spoon, Mugen, ECU´s have the rev limit at 9100 rpm. I think Hondata 1 stage his 9100 rpm too.
What other way to raise rev limit instead of a new ECU ?
There´s a mechanic here that can raise it on the stock ECU, but i was thinking on other ways.

I don´t have the 3 year warranty, it´s a 98 ITR.
I have the warranty of the repair and piston change, after the detonation on the 2 pistons that melted, 4 intake and 4 exaust valves need to be replaced, i warned them about compression diferences on the other 2 cylinders and they agree to put all new 16 valves.
Lucky, hummm.
Ok, my secret is, i´m jornalist on a TV station, i drive a lot cars in a auto TV program, i have good contacts at Honda Portugal.

Yes stock cams.
No $$$.
Ordered the DC Sports JDM SS and custom SS B-Pipe, no $$$ for that right now.
