electric power steering?
i know you can do it but has anyone converted their dc5 to electric power steering? and how much does it cost? and who does it? i would really like to know
DC5 does not have EPS.
And with that said, I am very, very fortunate it does not. I hated the EPS in the EP3, for several reasons. The standard p/s setup in the DC5 is much better IMO.

For what reasons? I happen to like the feel in the ep3.

When autoxing it, I was able to 'get ahead' of the system. I also like the feedback the traditional p/s system give you. A few other minor reasons I disliked it, but those are the main ones.

Another question....what don't you like about the DC5 system? If you are trying to gain a hp or two by installing the EPS, I think money and effort is best placed somewhere else.
That's the only reason I could see someone wanting to convert on a car that already has p/s.

May I reccomend bolting an electric motor to a hydraulic pump? You get the feel of a hydraulic power steeting with none of the engine parasitic drain. Electric power steering can be very low on feedback, like on that new A6 which is useless.
