Removing stock Type R stickers
Hey Guys,
Recently picked up a '98 Integra Type R JDM and so far i'm delighted with her
I wondering id theres an easy way to remove the Type R stickers from the sides and rear, they are a bit chipped and i recon she'd look nicer with them off.
I'l try and put up a pic of them later.
Any help much appreciated.

Its no longer a Type R if you take teh stickers off.
On a serious note though, just take a hairdryer and some Goo Gone to them, they will come right off with no issues.

Actually take it to one of those car wash places and blast it with the high pressure washer; there was a thread on here the other day when a dude did that and the stickers came off, and wanted to know how to get them back on.

You can use methyl ethyl ketone (or known as MEK). This can be purchased at most hardware stores. You'll want to wash the car after using this.
Ignore these silly people....taking the stickers off is fine.
Goo-gone and a paper towel will take them off, thats how I removed mine.
Stickers are teh gh3y, even if they are factory.

Theres more than 1 post about this in the archives. Use the Search and select archived posts.
But in short you can start with a finger nail easy enough and just peel them off. After they are off there might be adhesive residue but you can take that off with a good adhesive remover (like Afta) and a terry towel. Just be sure to clean the area after you use the remover and reapply a coat of wax since the remover strips everything down to the paint.
Best of luck, but FYI when you remove the stickers you lose 20 WHP instantly and you will lose every race with every car from that point on

I used this Goo Gone stuff too and a hairdryer to remove the huge Vtec sticker that the previous owner put on my R. It works.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Yes it does. I purchased my R minus both side decals and the rear was in rough shape (looks like someone decided to take take it off and then said 'eff it). They will be going back on this winter.

yes... but we are talking decals, not badges. You are correct though, i have used the floss and hair dryer method before. Works well.

I have no rear sticker so as to not let on people as to what they are approaching.
-Unfortunately the yellow + wing kinda give it away.
The lack of rear sticker actually lends to one clean a$$ end.

Thanks for all the help guys, even the haters
. I think I'l leave the sticker on the boot, I might replace it with nice R badge down the line but its mainly the side stickers need removing- they are a bit chipped looking. I took some pics so you can see why i want them off
I don't think this Goo Gone stuff is available here in Europe let alone Ireland, Any Euro people know what a local alternative might be?

I've used this many times in the past to remove stickers like this, dealership stickers, pin stripes, etc. Works like a champ.
