Default Has anybody every tried using a different speedo on your honda

i'm looking at using this

what are the necessary converters which i have to use??
I heard about the s2000 using a different vss signal. but for bikes? will it be any different?

There is about a 0.02% chance that the bike speedo will work without both sensor and software modifications.

1, the bike and the Honda have to have the same type of VSS. (maybe Hall effect, maybe magnetic pickup, maybe synchrotransmitter...)

2, the sensors have to have the same output chracteristics.

3, and the big one, the car and the bike have to have the same GEARING. Since the crotch rocket peaks at 16k I seriously doubt they do. So at the very least the ECU has to be reprogrammed to account for the different programming in the bike's speedo controller.

Now, if you were actually talking about the tach... It would work if the bike has the same sort of ignition.
