I was wondering if anyone ever had a bad ECT sensor and causes the engine to not able to start? I think im having the same symptoms.

 

I've had a similar problem in cool weather and when I would finally get it to start after about 10 minutes of cranking, I would rev it up and it would bog down and turn off again. I found that the wires for my ECT were cut, I hooked it up and problem went away. A bad ECT will cause it to run way too rich.

 

it had a difficult time starting or it wouldnt start at all?

 

it might start once for a couple seconds, shut down and then not start ...open loop

 

i think im having the same problem. wasnt sure if its the ECT

 

i had to replce my ect sensor, but only due to cel code 6. It cause the engoine not to start, but had to turn it for a lot longer when the engine was cold
