Third Brake Light
I have a 1998 Integra Gs. The car's third brake light is on the spoiler, none mounted inside the car. I was planning on taking the spoiler off for a new one, but then I would need to install a mounted third light. I called an Acura Dealership and they said about $700 dollars for the parts and installation.
So I'm thinking about looking around for the parts myself? Any clue on everything that I would need? How would installation be like? Has anyone done this before?
Thanks.

lol for seven hundred get a cf hatch and stick a christmas light on it. but seriously you would have to drill holes in your window (if that's possible) i think it would be way easier to just buy a wingless hatch for about a few hundred.

I agree
I think it has a cleaner look to it.

And it will be illegal. I can't speak for others but I can't stand riding behind a car with no center brake light or one that doesn't work, because that's what I always notice first. That's why they were mandated by the government, because it was shown that people react quicker to a light in the center than they do to lights on each side of the car.
I stuck my LED light from my wing inside my rear glass. I've always wanted to fab up some kind of enclosure so I don't see the light come on in my rear view when I brake, but I've never gotten around to it. It's been like that for nearly 5 years now, and I'm pretty much just used to it.

removing safety features from a car driven on public roads amongst idiot drivers... yeah real smart
I don't know about everyone else but with all the idiots around the Memphis area, I want as many brake lights as possible on the back end of my car.
