My first turbo setup/project: Pics of the setup, and a question!
Here are some pictures from my first turbo project im in the process of doing

The Question: What are these two things circled in red, and what do I do with the vacuum lines from them in green??

Look at that bling. Hopefully in wont break, it seems braced pretty well

14b!!!!!........sigh, yeah yeah. I know it is too small for the engine blah, blah, blah. If all goes well with this setup then I plan on switch on turbo/manifold/dp to something like a T3.

My intercooler piping from the turbo to the IC. Consists of AdvancedAuto Parts crush bent piping....woot woot.

Heres the DownPipe. Orignally it was made for a d series using an HF manifold. Lets just say it looked completly different when I got it. I hacked it up and rewelded it.

My boost gauge setup. I made the bracket from some sheet aluminum in the shop

Oil pan drain. Hopefully its high enough.....?? Is it?

And here is the car with the interfooler. That was the first thing to get installed and I drove it around for a week with it on there.

So its coming along pretty well, taking a little longer than planned but oh well. Still need to mount the EG radiator, put exhuast on & o2 bungs, then gove over everything once agiain. Maybe by this weekend. sigh.....So what do you guys think???

I cant answer your question but good luck . Especially with that manifold. I defend their turbos but there manifolds fall apart fast.

I love white, and those wheels look perfect.
Turbo setup looks good as well. Everyone starts somewhere, and it looks like this turbo systems will work great for a starter setup.

Thanks guys. Its almost finished, just need to finish the radiator mounts and find a top hose that will work, could be interesting
both them things you dont need. Just cap the vac lines going to them (circled in green) for emissions purposes. The ministry dosent like to see open vac lines.

doesnt have a really heavy turbo so it should hold good

Don't matter, it will still break if not braced properly.

So, how would one go about this? I am really curious as to how this would be implemented? Would you add a brace to the underside of the flange on the mani where the turbo mounts & then attach it to the cross member?
